Dr. Phillips serves as the director of the spine surgery division and as an orthopedic surgery professor at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He specializes in minimally invasive cervical and lumbar reconstructive surgery and is a founder, board member and past president of the Society of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery.
He received his medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, and underwent spine fellowship training at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland. Dr. Phillips’ research has been published in a variety of peer-reviewed scientific journals.
