1. The facility has eight operating rooms, three procedure rooms, four 23-hour recovery rooms, a full-service clinic, urgent care, a physical therapy center and a sports performance center.
2. When the Flowood location opens, Mississippi Sports Medicine plans to phase out the group’s Madison, Miss., location.
3. The Flowood location will allow the group to offer robotic and computer-assisted surgery.
4. MSMOC CEO Glen Silverman said, “Orthopedics and spine are expected to grow 35 percent in the outpatient setting over the next 10 years. Mississippi Sports Medicine is poised to continue to lead the charge in best practices in orthopedics and orthopedic fellowship training throughout the southeast.”
