Dr. Tannous received his medical degree from the Baltimore-based University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he also completed his orthopedic surgery residency. He underwent spine surgery fellowship training at UC San Diego.
He has extensive experience in revision spine procedures as well as correcting previously failed spine surgeries. Dr. Tannous uses minimally invasive techniques, and his research interests include optimizing postsurgical patient outcomes and improving techniques for eliminating postoperative spinal infections.
Dr. Tannous speaks Arabic, French and Spanish.
