Five details:
1. Brent Peterson, DO, has more than 20 years of experience as a neurosurgeon. He joins the neuroscience institute from Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Mo.
2. After earning his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Des Moines (Iowa) University, Dr. Peterson completed his residency at Garden City (Mich.) Hospital.
3. Board-certified in neurosurgery, Dr. Peterson is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
4. Daniel Shepherd, MD, is the other neurosurgeon joining the neuroscience institute. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and North American Spine Society.
5. After earning his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Dr. Shepherd completed a fellowship at Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic School of Medicine.
