Oklahoma orthopedic practice breaks ground on new surgery center, expansion: 5 things to know

Tulsa (Okla.) Bone and Joint Associates broke ground on its Union Pines Surgery Center and campus expansion in Tulsa.

Five things to know:

1. The new surgery center will feature eight operating rooms, two pain management rooms, 16 semi-private admit/discharge rooms for surgery and five beds for 24-hour stays.

2. A separate onsite “stay center” will host 11 overnight rooms. The new center will allow Tulsa Bone and Joint Associates to perform more surgeries on site.

3. Tulsa Bone and Joint Associates also plans to remodel and build onto the existing physical therapy building

4. The project is a joint venture with Detroit-based Ascension St. John Hospital.

5. The project is expected to be complete in the summer of 2020.
