Lubbock Spine Institute, police department team up for medication take back event

The Lubbock (Texas) Spine Institute partnered with the Lubbock Police Department to host a prescription drug take back event Jan. 11, the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reports.

Anyone can bring in their expired, unused or unwanted prescriptions for proper disposal. The event is free to the public and is intended to ensure medications are not stolen or misused.

Lubbock Spine Institute offers minimally invasive spine treatment. The practice employs four physicians.
