Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group surgeon appointed as associate professor: 6 insights

The Hempstead, N.Y.-based Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell named James M. Paci, MD, an associate professor.

1. Dr. Paci is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group in Woodbury, N.Y., and Smithtown, N.Y.

2. He specializes in treating athletes as well as shoulder, elbow and knee disorders.

3. Prior to joining Orlin & Cohen, Dr. Paci served as an associate professor at Stony Brook Orthopedic Associates in East Setauket, N.Y.

4. He received his medical degree from North Chicago, Ill.-based Chicago Medical School and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse.

5. He underwent orthopedic sports medicine fellowship training at Birmingham, Ala.-based American Sports Medicine Institute.

6. Dr. Paci was appointed to a five-year term as associate professor.
