Atlantic General Health System to cut ribbon on orthopedic practice

Berlin, Md.-based Atlantic General Hospital and Health System will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony Jan. 16 to celebrate the opening of Atlantic General Orthopedic Surgery in Berlin, Sussex Living reports.

Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Michael Hooker, MD, will lead the practice. He specializes in joint replacements, rotator cuff repairs and sports medicine procedures.

Dr. Hooker received his medical degree from Washington, D.C.-based Howard University College of Medicine and underwent shoulder and elbow surgery fellowship training at Sydney, Australia-based Royal North Shore Hospital.

Atlantic General Health System comprises 15 locations throughout the region.
