Dr. Robert Watkins to Perform Spine Surgery on Atlanta Braves Pitcher Peter Moylan

Robert Watkins, MD, a spine surgeon and co-director of the Marina Spine Center in Marina del Rey, Calif., will perform surgery on Atlanta Braves pitcher Peter Moylan to repair a bulging disc in his lower back, according to a local WSBTV report.

While the operation won’t end Mr. Moylan’s season with the Braves, he will take eight to 12 weeks for recovery.
