Robotic spine surgery comes to Arkansas: 3 highlights

Baptist Health Medical Center — Little Rock (Ark.) installed the Mazor X Robotic Guidance Platform for spine surgery, according to Kark.com.

Here are three highlights:

1. The hospital became one of the first in the state to offer robotic-assisted spine surgery.

2. Neurosurgeon David Connor, DO, performed the first surgery using the Mazor X system at the hospital Dec. 14.

3. Mazor X combines preoperative analytics with intraoperative guidance to create personalized surgical plans to improve accuracy.
