Miami Valley Hospital South opens $60M expansion with Joint and Spine Center

Dayton, Ohio-based Premier Health’s Miami Valley Hospital South in Centerville, Ohio, completed its $60 million expansion project, which includes a new Joint and Spine Center, Dayton Business Journal reports.

Here’s what you should know:

1. The Joint and Spine Center features expanded sports medicine, sports performance and pain center services.

2. In total, the hospital added 170,000 square feet to keep pace with growing demand for services. Another 42,000 square feet in the facility were also renovated.

3. The hospital now has a cardiac catheterization lab, additional medical offices, six new operating rooms and 20 new inpatient beds. Emergency medicine, cardiology and primary care services were also expanded.

4. The expansion builds on existing features, including a surgery center and 24-hour emergency department.

5. The project created about 100 new jobs.
