Here are five key notes:
1. The new location is 29,000 square feet and replaces the practice’s 13,000-square-foot location on East Brandon Boulevard.
2. FOI’s new facility includes the Toshiba Medical Vantage Titan 1.5T MRI machine, designed to give patients a visual experience and visual focal point to distract them from the exam. FOI is the first facility in West Florida to include the device.
3. The practice hopes the new MRI will help patients with anxiety and claustrophobia as they undergo MRI exams. During the scan, patients can listen to audio along with watching visual projections.
4. FOI opened in 1989 and includes specialists focused on orthopedic adult reconstruction, trauma, interventional spine and pain management.
