Former USA gymnastics trainer arrested, worked with Larry Nassar

Former U.S. gymnastics trainer Debra Van Horn was arrested in connection to her work with Larry Nassar, who was sentenced to decades in prison in January after hundreds of girls and women said he sexually abused them, NPR reports.

Ms. Van Horn and Mr. Nassar worked together at former USA Gymnastics training facility Karolyi Ranch, located just outside of Huntsville, Texas, according to the NPR report.

Ms. Van Horn was arrested Sept. 6 at Houston-based George Bush International Airport and has been charged with one count of sexual assault of a child. She was booked into the Walker County Jail and is being held on $20,000 bail.

Prosecutors said she’s due to appear in court Sept. 24.
