Dr. Ahmed is an assistant professor at Madison-based UW School of Medicine and Public Health’s neurosurgery department. He received his medical degree from Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. He underwent neurosurgery fellowship training at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, where he also received his doctorate.
He also completed minimally invasive neuroendoscopy fellowship training at Nijmegen, Netherlands-based St. Radbound University Medical Center, and pediatric neurosurgery fellowship training at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. His research focuses on pediatric congenital spinal disorders and has been published in a variety of scientific journals.
