Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Jennifer Waterman of Stormont Vail Health

Jennifer Waterman, DO, is an orthopedic surgeon at Topeka, Kansas-based Stormont Vail Health.

Dr. Waterman practices at Topeka-based Cotton O’Neil Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, where surgeons perform an average of about 10 orthopedic surgeries per day. She specializes in feet and ankles.

For three years, Dr. Waterman served as a full-time, active-duty flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force. She is currently a reservist in the Air Force and supported the 303rd Squadron in Afghanistan as a flight surgeon.

After graduating from Blacksburg, Va.-based Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, she completed an internship at Richmond Heights, Ohio-based University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center. She underwent residency training at Kingsport, Tenn.-based Holston Valley Medical Center.
