Here are four things to know:

1. ISASS hopes the agreement will expand its resources without an additional major capital investment. The organization’s board of directors decided to make the service arrangement, but ISASS will remain an independent entity.

2. The ISASS board will provide direction to the new management team, which also provides services to 14 other specialties’ societies.

3. The organization’s previous management team will ensure the transition is seamless to the new management team, and a continuity of business operations.

4. ISASS announced the change at their annual meeting in April.
