Question: What do you see as the greatest challenge for the spine industry in the latter half of 2018?
Dr. Payam Farjoodi: Medicine is increasingly becoming value-based and spine is no exception. The biggest challenge we have moving forward is to establish and prove the value of what we do to payers as well as patients. This is more difficult than other subspecialties of orthopedic surgery because we treat a variety of different pathologies with a variety of procedures.
