Dr. Venkat Ganapathy named associate editor of The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery

The American Orthopaedic Association selected Venkat Ganapathy, MD, to be the associate editor of The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, according to the chattanoogan.com.

Dr. Ganapathy is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon at Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Erlanger Health System. He also serves as an assistant professor and director of orthopedic spine surgery at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Chattanooga.

Dr. Ganapathy specializes in adult spinal deformity and performs minimally invasive surgery. He received his medical degree from Sri Ramachandra Medical College & Research Institute in Madras, India and underwent complex spine surgery fellowships at London Health Sciences Centre in Canada, and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center in Toronto, Canada. His research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals.
