Maimonides Medical Center cuts ribbon on new spine center: 3 highlights

Maimonides Medical Center in New York City officially opened its Comprehensive Spine Center on Feb. 27, according to the Brooklyn Reporter.

Here are three highlights:

 

1. This is Brooklyn’s only center to offer minimally invasive and image-guided spine surgery.

 

2. The 4,400-square-foot facility includes neurodiagnostics, nerve condition and fluoroscopy experts.

 

3. John Houten, MD, will lead the new spine center. He serves as the hospital’s director of spinal neurosurgery and neurotrauma.
