RWJBarnabas Health appoints new leader of musculoskeletal, spine unit — 5 things to know

West Orange, N.J.-based RWJBarnabas Health chose Brian George to lead its musculoskeletal and spine services unit, according to NJBIZ.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. Mr. George will oversee the orthopedic service line’s costs, quality and outcomes.

 

2. In addition to leading the orthopedic line, Mr. George will also collaborate with materials management employees to improve and standardize products.

 

3. In his position, Mr. George will also discuss protocols with RWJBarnabas’ physicians.

 

4. Mr. George has co-chaired the health system’s work under CMS’ lower extremity joint replacement bundle.

 

5. He previously worked at Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medical Center.
