1. Vascular surgeons repaired the artery to save Mr. Miller’s leg during emergency surgery on Sunday.
2. University Medical Center New Orleans physicians have stabilized the torn artery and reported Mr. Miller’s left leg is recovering; however, he will remain at the hospital.
3. Bears medical staff promptly diagnosed the artery problem during Sunday’s game and rushed Mr. Miller to the hospital. At the time, it was unclear if amputation would be necessary.
4. It is unclear when Mr. Miller will return playing or return to Chicago as physicians worry about the altitude from flying.
