Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Daniel Tomes of The Nebraska Neurosurgery Group

Daniel Tomes, MD, is a spine surgeon at The Nebraska Neurosurgery Group in Lincoln.

Dr. Tomes is also the board president of Southwest Lincoln (Neb.) Surgery Center and medical director for the Nebraska Sports Concussion Network. Additionally, Dr. Tomes is on the board of directors for the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln, Neb.

 

With clinical interests in brain and spinal tumors, athletic injuries, minimally invasive spinal disectomy and fusion, stereotactic radiosurgery and carpal tunnel release surgery, Dr. Tomes has been published in Oncology, Journal of Neurosurgery and North American Skull Base Society.

 

After earning his medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha, Dr. Tomes completed his residency at the Omaha-based University of Nebraska Medical Center.
