Dr. Thomas Kleeman uses telemedicine to treat patients from Alaska: 5 things to know

Founder of the New Hampshire NeuroSpine Institute in Bedford, N.H., Thomas Kleeman, MD, recently moved his practice to Alaska but plans to continue seeing his patients in New Hampshire through telemedicine applications, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. Berlin, N.H.-based Androscoggin Valley Hospital launched new telemedicine services and partnered with the New Hampshire NeuroSpine Institute to provide care in Alaska.

 

2. At his office in Alaska, Dr. Kleeman treats patients at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital.

 

3. Existing patients will be able to see Dr. Kleeman for lab work, radiology, pain intervention, physical therapy and follow-up visits.

 

4. Dr. Kleeman plans to travel to New Hampshire once a month to treat patients and perform surgeries.

 

5. Dr. Kleeman completed fellowship training at the Baltimore-based University of Maryland Medical System.
