Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center opens new location, welcomes physician: 3 things to know

The Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Ala., is opening a new center in Gardendale, Ala., and will be staffed by Jay Umarvadia, MD.

Here are three things to know:

 

1. The new sports medicine center is scheduled to open Aug. 14, 2017.

 

2. Recently, Dr. Umarvadia completed his sports medicine fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute. ASMI is the education and research partner of Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center. 

 

3. Dr. Umarvadia is a non-surgical orthopedic and sports medicine physician. He treats patients with sports related injuries and osteoarthritis in joints.
