Researchers examined 21 patients who underwent lumbar spine stabilization with Dynesys for degenerative spinal disease. The patients were divided into two groups, one that received single level stabilization and one that received multi-level stabilization.
The clinical improvement showed no differences between the two groups. The disc height was not decreased in either group. Retrolisthesis occurred on adjacent segments above on six patients in the multiple-level stabilization group.
