Dr. Amir Qureshi 1st in Arkansas to implant Algovita SCS system: 4 points

Amir Qureshi, MD, of Little Rock-based Arkansas Spine and Pain, implanted the first Nuvecta Algovita Spinal Cord Stimulation System in the state.

1. The Algovita SCS System is intended to treat chronic back pain.

 

2. The system includes 24 current sources and the broadest set of parametric ranges on the market for tonic SCS.

 

3. Algovita features stretchable leads, which are intended to limit lead fracture and migration.

 

4. Dr. Qureshi completed his pain management, orthopedics and sports medicine fellowship at Portner Orthopedic Rehabilitation in Honolulu, Hawaii.
