Dr. Khavkin is heavily involved in international humanitarian work, having served as a board member with Firefly and MiraMed and investing his time and skills in medical charity work. He serves as chairman of Las Vegas-based Southern Hills Hospital’s department of surgery, director of spine and neurosurgery service at Las Vegas-based Spring Valley Hospital and director of spine and neurosurgery service at Las Vegas-based Centennial Hills Hospital.
He previously served as director of neurosurgery spine service at Chicago-based Northwestern University before moving to Las Vegas to open Khavkin Clinic.
Dr. Khavkin graduated from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed a neurological surgery residency at the University of Chicago. He then underwent a complex spine fellowship at Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins University.
