Erlanger Health System reduces LOS with Orthopaedic Institute opening — 4 highlights

Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Erlanger Health System opened its Orthopaedic Institute in March 2016 and has since seen a drop in average length of stay.

Here are four highlights:

 

1. The Orthopaedic Institute offers elective procedures.

 

2. The center houses six operating suites, 12 adjacent pre-and post-operation bays, 12 overnight patient suites and an on-floor physical therapy gym.

 

3. The OR suites feature advanced intraoperative imaging equipment, designed for minimally invasive procedures.

 

4. The institute is currently renovating an adjacent patient care floor, to add an additional 38 inpatient beds.
