Coastal Orthopedics to participate in Nevro SCS study: 5 things to know

Richard H. Bundschu, MD, of Bradenton, Fla.-based Coastal Orthopedics Sports Medicine & Pain Management, is a principal investigator for a spinal cord stimulator study.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. The clinical trial analyzes the efficacy of Redwood City, Calif.-based Nevro’s SCS device.

 

2. Coastal Orthopedics represents one of six locations across the country to participate in the Nevro study.

 

3. The Nevro SCS is designed to treat chronic neck and upper extremity body pain.

 

4. Dr. Bundschu will follow up with participating patients every three months for one year following implantation.

 

5. Dr. Bundschu previously collaborated with Nevro on two other studies, including a lower back study.
