Here are four things to know:

1. The AltiVate Anatomic Shoulder System consists of a bone-sparing humeral stem, which is designed through a “morphologically-based fit analysis to optimize metaphyseal fit and stability.”

2. The stem includes DJO’s ‘porous porous’ coating, P2, which is designed to offer excellent bone ingrowth.

3. The shoulder system also features a glenoid aspect with ‘Drop and Go’ technology, which has trilobe features for immediate fixation when implanted.

4. DJO Global will feature the technology at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons annual meeting in San Diego, from March 14 to 18, 2017.
