AMA hires Brian Vandenberg as general counsel — 4 notes

American Medical Association brought on Brian D. Vandenberg, JD, as its senior vice president and general counsel.

Here are four notes:

 

1. He takes the place of Jon Ekdahl, who is retiring after about 16 years.

 

2. Mr. Vandenberg previously served as general counsel for Livongo Health, a Mountain View, Calif.-based consumer digital health company.

 

3. He also served in general counsel positions at Origin Healthcare Solutions, Healthcare Solutions and uBi.

 

4. Mr. Vandenberg earned his Juris Doctor degree from Chicago-based De Paul University College of Law.
