Here are four recent device company partnerships:

Atlanta-based Medovex Corp. entered into an international distribution agreement with AlfaMed, an Italy-based spine surgery equipment supplier. AlfaMed will provide sales, marketing and distribution services for the DenerveX System launch.

 

Plainsboro, N.J.-based Integra Derma began a cash tender offer to acquire Princeton, N.J.-based Derma Sciences. Integra purchased the shares at an offer price of $7 per share for the common stock; $32 per share for Derma Sciences’ Series A Convertible Preferred Stock; and $48 per share for Derma Sciences’ Series B Convertible Preferred Stock.

 

Pacira Pharmaceuticals partnered with DePuy Synthes Sales to market the company’s bupivacaine liposome injectable suspension Exparel for orthopedic surgeries in the United States.

 

Knoxville, Tenn.-based ChoiceSpine acquired Gainesville, Fla.-based Exactech’s spine products business. The acquisition will enhance ChoiceSpine’s international reach, adding Exactech’s Spain, Portugal and Germany distribution partners to the company’s existing Italy and Mexico distribution partners.
