Athens Orthopedic Clinic visits Haiti for humanitarian aid trip: 3 highlights

Three physicians and 12 staff members from Georgia-based Athens Orthopedic Clinic are embarking on a humanitarian aid trip, according to Online Athens.

Here’s what you need to know:

 

1. These 15 providers will offer free medical services to individuals in Haiti.

 

2. The surgeons, nurses and anesthesiologists treat bone and joint issues, including broken bones, tumors and revising metal plates.

 

3. The providers do up to 30 surgeries each day at the clinic, which is part of Bethlehem Ministry, a nonprofit that supports low-income Haitian residents.
