The Kerlan-Jobe Center for Sports Neurology will offer pre- and post-diagnostic screenings for athletes and clinicians to help concussed athletes develop a treatment plan for full recovery. Clinical and diagnostic assessments will determine the athlete’s loss of function, impairment and recovery.
Vernon Williams, MD, a neurologist, will be the new center’s medical director. The clinical team will also focus on researching the benefits of exercise and fitness as well as ways to maximize the athlete’s neurological function.
