RWJBarnabas Health to invest $18M in sports medicine program for Rutgers Athletics: 4 highlights

Piscataway, N.J.-based Rutgers Athletics, of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J., is working to raise $100 million, according to The Daily Targum.

This fundraising campaign, which will go towards expanding the university’s athletic facilities, was launched January 2016.

1. One feature of the campaign details a partnership between Rutgers Athletics and West Orange, N.J.-based RWJBarnabas Health.

 

2. Through this partnership, RWJBarnabas Health will be the exclusive healthcare provider for Rutgers Athletics.

 

3. RWJBarnabas Health will invest $18 million to create a comprehensive sports medicine program to serve athletes and students at the university.

 

4. This program facility is slated for completion by July 2019.
