The NeuroMedical Center’s The Spine Hospital of Louisiana in Baton Rouge is the first hospital in Louisiana to offer minimally invasive laser spine surgery.

2. Kelly J. Scrantz, MD, a neurosurgeon at The Spine Hospital of Louisiana, said laser spine surgery offers a smaller incision and quicker recovery.

 

3. The procedure is intended for patients with herniated discs, spinal stenosis, degenerative spinal conditions and spinal injuries.

 

4. The Spine Hospital of Louisiana has 10 neurosurgeons, two orthopedic spine surgeons, two neuroradiologists and five pain medicine specialists.
