Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Brian Kwon of New England Baptist Hospital

Brian Kwon, MD, is a spine surgeon at Boston’s New England Baptist Hospital and an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine.

He specializes in the surgical management of adult spine disorders.

Dr. Kwon’s career began after he earned his medical degree from St. Louis’ Washington University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at the University Hospital of Cleveland and his fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital.

Dr. Kwon is a member of several professional societies including the North American Spine Society and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

He was asked to serve on the editorial board of the Journal of Spinal Disorders & Techniques for his research experience in the arena.

Dr. Kwon speaks both English and Korean.
