Medtronic commits to continued education of young spine surgeons: 4 things to know

Dublin, Ireland-based Medtronic will serve as the premier sponsor at the sixth annual Spine IEP Fellows & Young Surgeons’ Course in San Diego, from Nov. 18 to Nov. 20, 2016.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. Medtronic Advanced Energy has sponsored the course since it began in November 2011.

 

2. The course strives to educate participants on current spine surgery topics as well as help with the transition from school to practice.

 

3. A Medtronic spokesperson commented the company “puts a high value on continued education and spine fellows represent our future,” according to the press release.

 

4. The course is accessible for spine and neurosurgery fellows from the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 academic years, as well as young surgeons within the first three years of practice.
