Dr. Ralph Salvagno set to retire, will continue medical work: 3 things to know

Ralph Salvagno, MD, plans to retire from his career as an orthopedic surgeon, according to Herald-Mail Media.

Here are three things to know about Dr. Salvagno:

 

1. He has been an orthopedic surgeon for 29 years.

 

2. He plans to continue his research, which investigates cancer treatments for pets. This research is done in conjunction with PetLife Pharmaceuticals, a company of which he is CEO.

 

3. He will continue his appointment at Robinwood, Md.-based Meritus Medical Center, where he is currently the vice chief of staff. In October 2017, he will begin his two-year run as the hospital’s chief of staff.
