Dr. Shindle has a professional interest in foot and ankle surgery as well as sports medicine-related injuries of the knee and shoulder. During his career, he has served as assistant team physician for the New York Giants and the New York Red Bulls professional soccer team. He is also a member of the USA Hockey Coaching Program and has been affiliated with various high school programs.
Dr. Shindle’s research interests include sports foot and ankle injuries, rotator cuff repairs and ACL injuries. He has authored articles that have been published in professional journals such as the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and the American Journal of Sports Medicine. He is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopic Association of North America and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Shindle earned his medical degree at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore and completed his residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. His additional training includes a sports medicine fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery and a foot and ankle fellowship in Oakland, Calif.
