1. Ms. Wood spent a year as an assistant athletic trainer at Belmont Abbey, in North Carolina. While at Belmont Abbey she worked with baseball, track and field, cross-country and women’s basketball athletes. She assisted with secondary insurance claim filing and developed a new inventory tracking system.
2. Ms. Wood was the host athletic trainer for the 2015 Conference Carolinas Cross-Country Championship and she worked at the 2016 Southern Regional NCAA Division II Baseball Championships.
3. Ms. Wood was previously an athletic training student intern at Rollins College in Florida. She completed her clinical rotations as an athletic training student at Hampden-Sydney College and at Longwood University. She earned her degree in athletic training from Longwood in May 2015.
4. Ms. Wood is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers’ Association and the Virginia Athletic Trainers’ Association.
