Gas line hit outside Missouri Orthopaedic Institute: 4 things to know

A gas line broke outside University of Missouri Health Care’s Missouri Orthopaedic Institute in Columbia on July 12, according to an ABC 17 News report.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. The crew working on the expansion of Missouri Orthopaedic Institute hit the gas line, said a spokesperson from MU Health Care University Hospital in Columbia.

 

2. The Columbia Fire Department and Ameren responded to the gas leak.

 

3. According to the University Hospital spokesperson, nobody was evacuated from the surrounding buildings during the repair.

 

4. This is the seventh gas leak reported in central Columbia this year.
