Jackson B. Jones, MD, of Reno (Nev.) Orthopaedic Clinic, performed northern Nevada’s first outpatient total hip replacement, according to a KOLO 8 ABC report.

1. Dr. Jones performed the procedure at Reno Orthopaedic Surgery Center, a part of Reno Orthopaedic Clinic.

 

2. The surgery was successful, and the patient was back at work in one month.

 

3. Dr. Jones specializes in revision joint reconstruction as well as anterior and posterior approach joint replacement.

 

4. He has completed a fellowship in total joint arthroplasty at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston.
