1. Dr. Watkins is helping Mr. Wright determine if he will require surgery to repair the herniated disk in his neck.
2. If surgery is required, it could sideline Mr. Wright for the rest of the season.
3. Dr. Watkins is co-director of the Marina Spine Clinic in Marina del Rey, Calif.
4. He is a founding member of the North American Spine Society.
