British Journal of Sports Medicine published the research, in which researchers tested the formula on Australian cricket players, who are prone to back and arm injuries.
Here are three points:
1. The algorithm is comprised of accelerometers, magnetometers and gyroscopes residing in wearable devices.
2. The algorithm had a 99 percent accuracy in training and a 95 percent accuracy in competition.
3. Other sports such as rugby, baseball, golf, skiing, tennis and track and field are utilizing similar injury prevention technology.
