1. Japanese information technology companies NTT Data and Toray Industries developed the smart shirt.

 

2. Hitoe monitors a person’s heart rate and breathing.

 

3. Last year, NTT Data moved its U.S. headquarters from Boston to Plano, Texas.

 

4. Hitoe is the only NTT Data shirt for extreme sports, and the company is developing a line of athletic products with similar features.

 

5. NTT Data and Toray Industries have already made a fitness compression shirt and a shirt for workers to monitor their bodies. The companies are planning to develop a line of medical garments that include hospital gowns and outfits for babies.
