The Joint Commission recertifies Northern Nevada for spine — 3 quick notes

The Joint Commission has recertified Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks for spine surgery, according to the Reno Gazette-Journal.

Here are three quick notes:

 

1. NNMC is the only local hospital to earn the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval in spine surgery.

 

2. The certification went into effect on April 28.

 

3. NNMC is a state-licensed 108-bed acute care hospital. A subsidiary of King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services owns and operates the hospital.
