Stryker’s Performance Solutions launches TJR patient engagement platform: 5 key notes

Stryker’s Performance Solutions is launching a new digital patient engagement and education platform.

Here are five key notes:

 

1. The program, called JointCOACH, aims to help improve the overall care delivery and experience for patients undergoing joint replacement surgery.

 

2. JointCOACH is a web-based communication platform that allows joint replacement patients to communicate with their hospital care teams during entire episodes of care. The program can be used through a computer or smart phone.

 

3. The program gives patients pre-op preparation information, clinical protocols, information about medications and pain control and recovery and rehabilitation activities. It also includes a series of questionnaires and surveys.

 

4. The platform will be available through Stryker’s Destination Centers of Superior Performance offering, which includes more than 270 hospitals that have implemented care redesign programs for joint replacement patients.

 

5. Stryker’s Performance Solutions is the business unit of Stryker’s Reconstructive Division that partners with hospitals and physician practices. It aims to improve clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction and profitability.
