Here are five takeaways:

1. The lecture and hands-on workshop featuring the system will focus on advanced stereotactic techniques for electrodes implantation and laser ablation catheter placement during neurological procedures.

2. The ClearPoint system helps surgeons plan, target and adjust trajectories via real-time MRI-guided visualization.

3. The MRI imaging offers surgeons a visual of a patient’s brain anatomy during surgical planning and device alignment. Surgeons can also view the brain as they navigate the device to the target.

4. The system is intended to enhance accuracy and decrease the risk of brain shift.

5. MRI Interventions will have a booth at the meeting.
