Spine surgeon Roderick Claybrooks, MD, of Michigan-based Beaumont, completed his three-book series about various topics of success, according to Broadway World.

Here are five highlights:

 

1. The series includes, “The Black Student’s Guide to Success,” “The Black Parent’s Guide to Financial Success” and “The Black Student’s Guide to Financial Success.”

 

2. With the final installment, Dr. Claybrooks wanted to help readers understand the inner-workings of finances as well as how to successfully manage money and invest.

 

3. As a physician, Dr. Claybrooks has interacted with a diverse group of people and wanted to address major issues people face outside of health.

 

4. He specifically wanted to be a voice for the African American population.

 

5. Dr. Claybrooks believes people gain empowerment by feeling in control of their finances.
